Manipulating carbon at the molecular level lets a structure be tuned for strength, electrical conductivity, or thermal performance — whatever the application demands. Noble Designs has worked with carbon nanotubes, graphene, and molecular construction for more than a decade.
Where much of the field remains theoretical, Noble Designs ships product. Using CNTs, we increased the strength-to-weight ratio of a high-end product by over 50% against its previous version — and more than 20% over the best-measured competitor, who spent considerably more time and resources to get there.
Much of that success is attention to detail in the process itself. Typical CNT growth yields 20–80% and is expensive; the process we work with has been measured at over 99% yield. In our samples the nanotube threads pack so densely that nothing else is identifiable — competing processes show a few striated strands over bare substrate.
Ryun has been involved with dozens of patents in the space and continues to work in both creation and application: batteries, electronics, mechanical and bio-mechanical systems, industrial and residential structures.
